TIN properties example (stand-alone script)

The following stand-alone script displays properties for a TIN. It also prints all the field names for the TIN.

import arcpy

# Create a Describe object
#
desc = arcpy.Describe("C:/data/antelope_island")

# Print TIN properties
print "%-21s %s" % ("HasEdgeTagValues:", desc.hasEdgeTagValues)
print "%-21s %s" % ("HasNodeTagValues:", desc.hasNodeTagValues)
print "%-21s %s" % ("HasTriangleTagValues:", desc.hasTriangleTagValues)
print "%-21s %s" % ("IsDelaunay:", desc.isDelaunay)
print "%-21s %s" % ("ZFactor:", desc.ZFactor)

# Print the field names in the TIN
print "\nFields in the TIN:"
for field in desc.fields:
    print "\t%s" % field.name
