Description: The Private Onsite Waste Treatment System (POWTS) feature dataset contains mapped locations of holding tanks, mounds, and other types of septic systems. Most of these are located in the rural, non-sewered areas of the county. Attributes of each point include the type of system as recorded by the Permit Type attribute (A=At Grade, C=Conventional, H=Holding Tank, I=In Ground, and M=Mound). There is also a class L which represents shoreland permit areas (shoreland permits were formerly known as Landuse permits). An Internal Number exists and this links to additional related records including the Permit Number, Permit Date, Installation Date, Maintenance Date, Installer, and other information. The permit image itself can be viewed by clicking the PermitScan link.
