Description: The Block Number is one of the legally-recorded number assigned to a tract of land that was sold off through the subdivision process (see also the Subdivision Name and Lot Number). Generally, block numbers were used in the urban areas and recorded using the metes and bounds system referenced lot and block numbers. Block numbers are graphically depicted on the Brown County parcel map (and is also usually recorded in the legal description) See also the Lot Number feature class and the legal descriptions available through the TaxParcel feature class and related tables.

Description: TaxParcelText graphically depicts the following: Parcel ID (black text), reference to the legal document that created the shape of the parcel (green text), and the legally-recorded area of the parcel (pink text--Unit will reflect that on the legal document--SF for Square Feet and AC for acres). Each category is further broken down into subtypes based on the size of the parcel (larger text for larger parcels). This was done to allow for an automated parcel editing process.
